FABRICIO PAUL CEVALLOS VERA
My name is Fabricio Paul Cevallos Vera, I am from the city of Guayaquil, I was born in 1989. My hometown is number 24 of the "Santo Tomás de Aquino" Parish, located in the north of Guayaquil. I am the third of 5 children, the only one on the Neocatechumenal Way, but by frequenting the Way I have felt the support of my parents and siblings, who during this time have clung more to the church. I have seen the love of God in this Path that He has given me for my salvation.
From a very young age I stopped believing in God since I did not see His love in my life: it always seemed to me that other people led a better life than mine. I helped my parents in a food business in the Bay of Guayaquil: sometimes it was difficult for me to study, but by the grace of God all my brothers and I were able to get ahead. As an adult I was involved in other religions and sects that destroyed me spiritually, morally and psychologically, thinking that God did not want me and making my life a mess.
In a very difficult time the Lord appears in my life in a community of non-hearing brothers, Mission House "MICTE" (My Heart Listens to You), where the Lord showed me His mercy by making me part of a mission, evangelization to deaf people . I was able to make First Communion and Confirmation with the children of the mission and I felt great happiness: the Lord gave me that opportunity to enjoy the celebration of my sacraments, which some time ago due to my ignorance I had refused to receive.
Later I entered the community and was able to see my reality and accept that my story is perfect and that thanks to it the Lord had drawn me to His church, making me a participant in His infinite love.
Now I am in the Redemptoris Mater "San Pedro Claver" seminary in Esmeraldas, where the Lord is preparing me for a bigger step: to serve His saving mission, taking His word to the whole world and giving my life for His sheep as He did. did with me I feel like every day the Lord encourages me to this call through my parents, siblings – by blood and by community – and all the people who have come into my life.
May the Lord and the Virgin Mary take care of them and protect me. Blessings.
