STHELLA MARCIA REZABALA NAVIA

My name is Esthela Rezabala Navia, I was born on September 27, 1971. I am the third of five siblings, four alive and one in heaven. My family is traditional Catholic; My parents are Benigno Rezabala Cevallos and María Navia Briones. During my childhood I suffered abuse and because of my father's military life we lived in different places in Ecuador and on other occasions they left us with relatives who treated us badly.

I heard the Catechesis of the Neocatechumenal Way in 1990 in the "Our Lady of the Cloud" Church of the "Santa Cruz" Parish in Mapasingue west, where the priest was Father José María Cano Herrera, whom we affectionately called Father Pepe, I remember that my first catechists were: Paco, Anita, Arnaldo, Amable....

After a few years on the road, our catechists changed and Juan Gerónimo came with Reyes, María de los Angeles (Cuca) and Carmen. When our parish priest died, our pilgrimage through Guayaquil began in the parishes where communities existed and little by little we became fewer.

Thank God we were welcomed by Father Julián Ballesta of the Saint Thomas of Aquinas parish where I made the journey inconstantly, using the pretext of how far it was, that I did not have money to travel, in short, I let myself take away the words that my catechists gave me. .

After some time I started walking again, more like doing the Beginning Catechesis again in the parish of San Juan Bosco where I walked for a short time because the priest did not accept the path and since my new catechists were from the parish of San Agustín They welcomed us....My catechists were Juan Carlos and Rocio, Jhon and Esperanza.....

One day the Lord called me through a sister who told me God loves you and wants you to serve him, now I find myself carrying out the mission at the Redemptoris Mater seminary.
