As a gift of the Holy Spirit, this Missionary Seminary arises, the same one that, due to the courage and apostolic zeal of Monsignor Eugenio Arellano, was requested for the Apostolic Vicariate of Esmeraldas. Since its foundation, the formation of seminarians and the task of carrying out this work of God have been entrusted to the Rev. Father Julio Vázquez Vega, being the first Rector of this Seminary.
